With over 20 years of experience in Montessori education, curriculum development, and bilingual learning, Ms. Maetzi is dedicated to shaping the future of education through Cosmic Minds Fund. Her extensive background in private and public school sectors, along with her numerous Montessori certifications (AMI, CCCC, AMS), NICCM National Administrative Credential, and Masters in Education, positions her as a leader in teacher training, classroom innovation, and scholarship support.

Through Cosmic Minds Fund, Ms. Maetzi brings her expertise to expand access to scholarships for educators, ensuring more teachers receive the specialized Montessori training needed to create transformative learning environments. Her leadership in curriculum development, after-care programming, and the creation of Spanish, Math, Science, and Reading materials directly impacts the foundation's mission to support students, teachers, and classrooms, both indoor and outdoor.
She volunteers with Cosmos Montessori School in all the various community projects, was head of Team Purple for BvB, and many others.

Her award-winning leadership including being TLCCAs Director of the Year Nominee (2024) and Distinguished Teacher Award recipient (DISD) fuels Cosmic Mind's vision of making high-quality Montessori education accessible to all. Charles McGarry
With an esteemed legal career spanning over four decades, Charles McGarry brings unparalleled expertise in civil appellate law, litigation, and entertainment law to CMF Dallas. As a former Chief Justice of the Fifth District Court of Appeals of Texas, he has presided over some of the most complex legal matters in the state, shaping judicial precedent and ensuring justice is upheld. His experience extends to real estate, commercial transactions, and consumer protection, having served as a law clerk for the Texas Attorney General's Office and an arbitrator for FINRA and the National Panel of Consumer Arbitrators.
Beyond the courtroom, Charles has been a dedicated advocate for arts, media, and education, serving as Director, Secretary, and Treasurer of Agape Broadcasting Foundation, which manages KNON-89.3 FM, a vital community radio station in Dallas. His leadership extends to managing commercial radio stations, chairing the Dallas Jazz Orchestra, and supporting legal education through publications on aviation law, music royalties, and mediation confidentiality. He volunteers with Cosmos Montessori School in all the various community projects.
As a member of the U.S. Supreme Court Bar, the Supreme Court of Texas, and multiple federal district courts, Charles's legal acumen strengthens CMF Dallas' mission to empower education through scholarships, teacher training, and innovative learning environments. His commitment to mentorship, nonprofit leadership, and education reform helps drive CMF Dallas' vision for equitable and accessible learning opportunities.

Angela Ruiz
Cosmic Minds Fund, INC. Director of Development & Fundraising
Angela Ruiz brings a wealth of experience in administration, finance, and international relations, with a distinguished career in both public and private sectors. She holds a degree in Business Administration for Tourism Enterprises and a Diploma in Fundraising from Procura, A.C., making her a valuable asset to CMF Dallas in advancing its mission to support education, scholarships, and sustainable learning environments.
Her extensive professional background includes serving in key leadership roles within Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of Public Education, and the Secretary of Finance and Public Credit. Throughout her career, she has specialized in fundraising, financial administration, procurement, and governmental budgeting, making significant contributions to educational and cultural programs for communities abroad. She has also played a crucial role in customs administration, fiscal reform, and procedural training within the Tax Administration Service.
Angela's expertise in nonprofit fundraising, governmental budgeting, and public sector administration strengthens CMF Dallas' efforts to provide scholarships for teachers and students, enhance outdoor and indoor classrooms, and support high-quality Montessori training programs. With a deep commitment to education and community impact, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring CMF Dallas continues to expand opportunities for educators and learners.
